Cardiac Surgery
Cardiac surgeons specialize in correcting acquired or congenital defects of the heart and thoracic aorta. The most common procedures are performed to replace diseased valves, open or bypass blocked vessels, or replace a portion of the aorta. We offer the full spectrum of cardiac surgery treatments including complex valve repair, minimally invasive valve repair and replacement including TAVR and mechanical circulatory support including ventricular assist devices.
Vascular surgery
Asheville Heart surgeons treat a number of vascular diseases, including treatment of stenosis of blockage of arteries involving the ascending, aortic arch, thoracic aorta and carotid arteries. We offer minimally invasive repair including thoracic endografts.
